Austin went shopping for missionary suits at Adrians today with the whole family for FHE.  Got a couple of good-looking suits and a lot of the other items like ties, shirts, socks & belts that he will be needing.  Was pretty fun to watch him pick out his ties.  A couple of the local Elders came into the store to look around and he talked with them for a few minutes.  It's exciting to be getting more ready to go.

August 25, 2010 - Austin received his Mission Call to Ohio, Columbus Mission (Spanish speaking)

Austin is on the phone with Dale, who is in SLC for a few days.  He called him and put him on speaker phone so he could hear Austin read his mission call letter.  Dale served his mission in Ohio, Akron/Cleveland, so he thinks Austin is teasing him and telling him that he's going to Ohio...that's why we can't believe it.  Austin had a fun day of telling many of his friends and family about his call.  He made and received lots of phone calls, sent out lots of texts, and finally posted it on Facebook at the end of the day.  His first call was to Uncle David Ipson, who served in the same mission.  Austin's assignment is the standard 24 months, and his call also included a Spanish speaking assignment.  He will enter the MTC on December 29, 2010.
